Early Life and Education
Growing up in a small town nestled between foothills of the Himalayas and lush forests, Sandeep always felt a profound connection with animals. His childhood days were spent playing with buffaloes, sheep and goats, his numerous pet cats and dogs, nursing stray animals, and befriending almost every cat and dog in the neighborhood. This early passion for animals set the foundation for his future career as a veterinarian.
Sandeep pursued his dream of becoming a vet with unwavering determination. He graduated from the prestigious College of Veterinary Medicine, GADVASU, Punjab, India;
Professional Journey
After earning his BVSc. and AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) degree in 2008, Dr. Mehmi embarked on a fulfilling professional journey. He gained invaluable experience working in various veterinary clinics, emergency hospitals, and animal shelters, honing his skills and expanding his knowledge across a wide range of services. In 2018 he passed the certification for National Examining Board (NEB) of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association and ECFVG of American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, which allows him to practice in both Canada and the USA
Since 2018 he worked at various clinics in Canada and the USA and finally made the decision to move to the Okanagan Valley that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, outdoor activities, cultural experiences, and relaxation, making it a truly beautiful and inviting place.

Dr. Sandeep Mehmi possesses a diverse skill set that encompasses preventive care, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine and non-invasive diagnostics like Ultrasound. He is particularly passionate about promoting animal wellness through education, emphasizing the significance of proper nutrition, regular exercise, and mental stimulation. His holistic approach to veterinary medicine emphasizes the importance of a balanced lifestyle in ensuring the longevity and happiness of his furry patients.
